
Oakley hires new partner, makes raft of promotions
Oakley Capital has hired Valero Domingo as partner and has made six promotions within its investment team, including two promotions to partner.
Valero has joined Oakley's London office, where he will be responsible for the origination and execution of transactions, and the development of portfolio companies. Valero joins from Charme Capital Partners, where he worked as a principal. His previous roles include stints at Highbridge, 3i and Goldman Sachs.
Oakley has also promoted Sam Fenton-Whittet and Sascha Günther from investment directors to partners. Fenton-Whittet joined Oakley's London office in 2015 after a number of years working for the UK government, including in senior finance roles for HM Treasury.
Günther is based in Oakley's Munich office, and focuses on transactions and managing Oakley's investments in the German-speaking region. Prior to joining the firm, he was vice-president at ProSiebenSat.1 in Germany.
Oakley has made a further four promotions within its investment team; Lovis von Andrian has been promoted to investment director, while Mike Mutsaers, Cristina Popescu and Jamie Wilman were all promoted to investment manager.
The Oakley team now comprises 61 staff across its offices in London and Munich, 32 of whom are investment professionals.
