Rede appoints three new partners
Private equity advisory firm Rede Partners has promoted Alexandra Bazarewski, Magnus Goodlad and Bruce Weir to the role of partner.
Bazarewski leads Rede's Americas coverage team. She was Rede's first US-based employee and opened the firm's New York office, which has since grown to 15 people. Rede stated it has raised in total more than €22bn in capital commitments from North American LPs.
Goodlad leads Rede's transactions practice, focused on secondaries. The firm credited his leadership for helping extend the team's expertise into new transaction types, including NAV financing facilities and GP equity and credit transactions. Rede stated that it has closed four transactions for GPs worth a total of around €1bn in recent months, with a "record" number of additional transactions currently ongoing.
Weir joined the firm in 2019 as Rede's first chief operating officer, following a CFO stint at Evercore. Rede said Weir has been "instrumental" in building the firm's internal infrastructure and culture, with headcount doubling to 90 professionals alongside a number of governance, digital architecture, and training and development improvement projects.
Rede celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year, having been founded in 2011. Since January 2021, Rede has announced final closes for Avedon IV, Volpi Capital Fund II, TCV XI, PAI Mid-Market Fund, Verdane Edda II and Intera Fund IV. Up to seven more final closes are expected to be announced before year-end, the firm said in a statement.
