Clearwater hires ex-PwC partner as new CEO

Mid-market corporate finance house Clearwater International has hired Julian Brown as chief executive officer (CEO).
Brown will take over from Michael Reeves, who has led Clearwater as CEO since inception in 2014 and has now decided to focus on his role as UK managing partner and board member of the UK business, according to a statement.
Brown has nearly 30 years of international corporate finance experience in Europe and North America. He notably spent 15 years at PwC, building and running the corporate finance businesses in Spain, Canada and most recently the US. He also sat on PwC's global corporate finance board with responsibility for North and South America.
Clearwater said the appointment comes on the back of a "record" period of growth for the business, which has worked on more than 90 completed deals worth GBP 7.6bn and grown by more than 20% in the last six months.
