
ECI announces hires at IR, origination and investment teams
Mid-market sponsor ECI Partners has appointed three new members including Adam Whitfield as investor relations manager.
Appointments were made in the investment, investor relations and origination teams.
Whitfield joins ECI from Rede Partners, where he was senior associate and worked on fundraising and advisory projects, according to a statement. Prior to that, he was an Equity Research Analyst at Barclays Investment Bank for two years in the UK Small and Midcap team, according to LinkedIn.
Jin Ni Ooi has been appointed as an investment associate. Ooi was previously an investment associate at Blixt Group and has experience in assessing investment opportunities. She was formerly at PwC within the transaction services department where she led the execution of financial due diligence across an array of sectors. Her fluency in Mandarin will support ECI's portfolio management team with expansion into Asia, according to a statement.
Victoria Gustavsson has been appointed as an analyst in the origination team where she will source opportunities for ECI and its portfolio companies. Previously, she was business controller intern at Blacklader for 3 months, according to LinkedIn.
According to Unquote Data, ECI 11 was registered as a UK LP in May 2018 with a target of GBP 650m and held a first and final close on its hard-cap of GBP 700m. The vehicle invests in UK-based mid-sized companies with an enterprise value in the range of GBP 20m-300m operating in the media, technology, business services, telecommunications, consumer, healthcare, and industrial sectors. Current portfolio companies include Avantia Group and CSL DualCom.
