British investment firm 3i has promoted six of its private equity team to partner, with four of them in Europe.
The GP has promoted Andreas Gold, Rupert Howard, Bastiaan Peer and David Stephens in Europe and Rahul Lulla and Nikhil Patel in North America.
Gold joined 3i in 2007 and is based in the German team, working on deals like 3i's acquisition of GartenHaus in September 2020 and its investment in Scandlines, which it later sold to First State and Hermes for EUR 1.7bn.
Both Rupert Howard and David Stephens are in the UK, joining in 2018 and 2011 respectively. The former leads 3i's consumer investments and prior to joining was director of consumer, retail and leisure at Rothschild.
Stephens leads the GP's investments in industrial technology and used to work at DC Advisory. He's worked on deals including UK-based Aspen Pumps.
Bastiaan Peer joined 3i in 2014 and works in the Benelux team. He has worked on Basic-Fit, Dutch Bakery, and Royal Sanders.
