PAI hires Odaro as head of ESG and sustainability

European sponsor PAI Partners has hired sustainable finance specialist Denise Odaro as head of ESG and sustainability.
Odaro will lead PAI’s ESG efforts within the firm and in its portfolio, the GP said in a press release. She will also be a member of its senior operations team, the PAI Performance Group.
Odaro joins PAI from her previous role as head of investor relations and sustainable finance coordination at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group.
In addition, she has held various advisory roles including on London Stock Exchange’s Sustainable Finance Advisory Group and on Cornell University’s Emerging Market Institute.
The appointment brings the sponsor’s ESG-focused team to four people across its Paris, London and Munich offices.
PAI manages a flagship and a mid-market private equity strategy, investing across Europe in the business services, food and consumer, industrials and healthcare sectors.
