UK - LDC appoints new investment director in Midlands
LDC's Birmingham office has strengthened its team with the appointment of Steve Aston as investment director.
Aston was previously the CFO of the specialist engineering business Doncasters during its ownership by Royal Bank Private Equity. During this time he was instrumental in refinancing the business post 9/11 together with developing and implementing the group’s turnaround strategy. Doncasters was sold to Dubai International Capital for £700m in May 2006. Aston also has over 10 years deal experience gained within the Transaction Services teams at PwC and KPMG where he was responsible for private equity deals, increasingly with a focus on operational improvement.
