UK - Foursome becomes Frog; increases funds under management
UK-based early-stage and growth investor Foursome Investments has re-branded as Frog Capital and increased the size of its fund from EUR 60m to EUR 100m - a move almost unheard of in this economic climate.
Frog's current portfolio consists of six companies. Its latest deal, Ostara, is a Vancouver-based company that specialises in a technology that enables water and sewage companies to recycle phosphorous water without the use of harmful chemicals.
Alongside the upsizing, the firm has appointed Mike Reid from 3i Growth Capital as new managing partner.
Frog is the investment vehicle of the Engelhorn family.
