Foresight Group has strengthened its Rome-based environmental team with the appointment of Giovanni Terranova as an investment director.
Terranova joins Foresight from Fortis Bank in Milan, where he has served as an associate director in the Global Energy & Utilities team since 2005. During his time at Fortis he worked on both conventional and renewable energy projects, latterly specialising in renewable energy transactions, primarily in the wind and solar sectors. Terranova has arranged the debt financing on deals ranging in size from EUR 20m to EUR 1.3bn.
Prior to 2005, Terranova spent two years with KPMG in the firm's London-based Financial and Business Modelling Group, where he developed his execution skills working on a range of deals, primarily in the Infrastructure sector. He previously spent four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and started his career at the Italian Agency for Energy and Environment.
