
Blackstone France appoints chairman

Blackstone's special adviser Gerard Errera has been appointed as chairman of Blackstone France.
Errera joined Blackstone in 2009 following his role as secretary general of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and French ambassador to the United Kingdom. Prior to that he served as French ambassador to NATO and director general for political affairs at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As chairman of the French division of Blackstone, Errera will advise French portfolio companies and help the GP source investment opportunities in France and Europe.
Blackstone is currently working on growing its European financial institutions advisory practice, which the French team will play a key role in.
