New placement agent Reach Capital launches with four partners
William Barrett, Jean-Philippe Boige, Luc Debieuvre and Veera Somersalmi have launched new placement and advisory firm Reach Capital, headquartered in Paris.
In early June, unquote" reported on Boige's departure from Idinvest and his plans to launch a new business. Now officially launched, Reach Capital will focus on alternative assets fundraising and placement, investor relations, as well as GP and LP strategic advisory.
Boige started his career in 1999 as an auditor at PwC. He was later recruited by Siparex as an associate, before moving to placement agent Global Private Equity. He joined Idinvest in 2007 and became a member of the investment committee for fund-of-funds activity. He was in charge of the primary investment programme and also managed the US and Asian legacy portfolios of AGF Private Equity. Boige also worked on Idinvest's overall fundraising efforts and investor relation activities.
He has teamed up with three other Global Private Equity alumni for this new venture. Most recently working as an associate for the placement agent, Barrett was responsible for fundraising assignments for international private equity and infrastructure managers.
Debieuvre, a partner at Global Private Equity prior to setting up Reach Capital, was particularly focused on investors based in the Middle East. His career includes stints as managing director of Bank Audi Saradar and the National Bank of Qatar.
Somersalmi also joins from Global Private Equity, where she was most recently a partner. Prior to that, she was associate director at Nordic Mezzanine and investment director at Standard Life Investments Private Equity. She has also held roles at CapMan and Keva.
