UK - Carlyle acquires Gardner Group
The Carlyle Group has acquired Gardner Group Ltd, a supplier of metallic aerostructure details, from Dunedin and Rolls-Royce for an undisclosed sum.
Dunedin originally invested £16m into Gardner in 2003, with Rolls-Royce being brought in as a minority investor in 2005.
GE and HSBC provided the debt package for the deal. The transaction is the first from Carlyle's EUR 530m second European technology fund, Carlyle Europe Technology Partners II.
