ICELAND - Anders H. Rønningen leaves Advokatfirmaet Selmer

From 1st October 2006, Anders H. Rønningen, 34, will join Glintir Securities Corporate as new director to develop a strong corporate unit. He will be coming from the Norwegian law firm Selmer, where, since 2002, he developed the business area strategy and finance from 2 to 16 employees. He has previous experience as a strategic and financial adviser at Arkwright and as a business consultant at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Rønningen is an expert on strategy and finance and on the energy and offshore industries having worked on a number of projects related the gas and oil industries. He also holds a Master from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH). Glintir is a leading financial group which offers universal banking, including investment banking, stack trade and capital management. It is listed on the Icelandic stack Exchange and has a market capitalisation of around EUR 3bn. The group made a 200% increase in profit after-tax, shifting from ISK 3.0bn in Q1 2005 to ISK 9.1bn in Q1 2006.
