BELGIUM - Carlyle completes exit from Transics
Carlyle has sold its 42.2% stake in Transics, a provider of on-board computers and fleet management solutions for the transport and logistics sector, to Parcom. The transaction consisted of a block trade covering 16.5% of the outstanding share capital combined with an accelerated book-building covering the balance.
In May 2006, Carlyle acquired a majority stake in Transics, together with the company's senior management. In June 2007, Carlyle floated the company on Euronext, retaining approximately 42.2% of the outstanding share capital.
Founded in May 1990, Transics’ solutions, which are based on the Quattro Plus on-board computer, a real-time GPRS communication and back-office software platform, are being installed in more than 50,000 trucks in over 800 transport companies throughout Europe.
