POLAND - ARX backs pet retailer Kakadu
ARX Equity Partners, an independent firm spawned from DBG Eastern Europe, has acquired a majority stake in Polish retailer Kakadu Sp. z o.o.
The company sells pet products across 25 stores in large Polish cities. The business expects to exceed EUR 20m in sales for 2009, and is now looking to roll out additional stores.
ARX did the deal from two funds it manages: DBG Eastern Europe II LP and ARX CEE III, which held a first close last October on EUR 83m and is targeting a total of EUR 125m.
