
Adveq opens London office
Funds-of-funds manager Adveq has officially opened its new London office.
The opening brings the number of Adveq European offices to three, as reported by unquote" in June when Adveq's plans came to light. The firm now has seven offices worldwide in Zurich, Frankfurt, New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and London, as well as a representative office in Sydney. More than 90 people work for Adveq across these locations.
Vice president Farah Shariff will be heading up the London office. Adveq is also planning on expanding the team there in due course.
"The UK has always been a very important market for us and we have a significant number of GP's and investments there. Opening a London office is an exciting development to enhance our permanent presence in the UK," managing director Tim Creed said in a statement.
Adveq was founded in 1997 and had $5bn in assets under management as of June 2013.
