UK - CVC gets green light for F1 deal
The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the Formula One Group by funds managed or advised by CVC Capital Partners Group.
The approval of the European Commission was subject to an undertaking by CVC to divest its interests in Dorna Promocion del Deporte SA. Dorna organises and manages the commercial rights for the FIM Motorcycle Road Racing World Championship (known as MotoGP), which was acquired by CVC in June 1998. CVC has been provided with adequate time to conduct an orderly sale process.
