Highland Capital appoints partner
Global venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners Europe has appointed Tony Zappalà as a partner within its European team.
Zappalà joins from Index Ventures. He will continue to focus on the internet space to leverage his experience with companies such as Privalia, Ozon, Nasty Gal and Moleskine.
Zappalà previously worked for ST Microelectronics where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and strategy formulation.
Prior to ST Microelectronics, he worked as a strategy consultant in London and in Boston for LEK Consulting. Zappalà has a master's degree in electrical and information sciences from Christ's College, Cambridge, and an MBA from Insead.
