Intel Capital promotes two to vice president
Intel Capital has promoted Marcos Battisti and Marcin Hejka to vice president.
Battisti (pictured) joined Intel Capital in 1998 from Brazilian investment bank BBA Creditanstalt. He has led deals including a €7m round for Irish mobile applications platform provider FeedHenry, the $6m series-B round for French mobile news app producer Mobiles Republic, and the $20m series-B round for SkySQL.
Hejka joined the firm in 1999 from Poland Growth Fund, where he spent four years as investment director. Prior to that, he was a Poland specialist at Banexi and a financial analyst at Paribas Capital Markets Group. From 2004 to 2011, he was also vice president of the Polish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. Recent transactions include a capital commitment to 3D printing marketplace CGTrader, in the VC's first investment in Lithuania, and a $10m investment in Russian software firm Mango Telecom.
Battisti remains managing director for western Europe and Israel, with Hejka continuing as managing director for eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
