
GERMANY - Infineon sells WLC to Golden Gate Capital for EUR 250m
US private equity firm Golden Gate Capital has acquired broadband services provider Wireline Communications from troubled chipmaker Infineon Technologies AG for EUR 250m.
All products, locations and development projects will be continued, and around 800 patent families will be transferred. Employment contracts for approximately 600 WLC employees will be transferred to the new company, and an estimated 300 employees from Infineon central functions who already work on behalf of the WLC segment are also designated to join the new company.
