ITALY - Investors deny sale of SEAT Pagine Gialle
According to reports in the Italian press, Investitori Associati and the other backers of SEAT Pagine Gialle are not looking into selling their joint stake of 50.1% in the directory business this year.
Dario Cossuta, a partner at Investitori Associati has reportedly said that, although a holding period of four years may signal a possible intention of sale, the consortium of investors, which include De Agostini and Wise, are holding on to the company. It is understood that 2007 is an important year for SEAT, which will see the outcome of the improvements implemented by the private equity investors. According to Cossuta, the backers should continue taking advantage of the company's positive results before considering the possibility of a sale.
