Terra Firma MDs to take over after Darragh's departure
Terra Firma managing directors Mike Kinski, Stefan Thiele and Ingmar Wilhelm will take over from Damian Darragh following his departure from the firm.
Darragh had led the firm's efforts to raise a $2bn renewable energy fund until he was asked to leave earlier this week.
"Over the past year we have been strengthening our managing director team, hiring Stefan Thiele and Ingmar Wilhelm. Following a review we have asked Damian Darragh to leave the firm and appointed Mike Kinski, Stefan and Ingmar to jointly lead our renewable energy infrastructure team going forward," explained a Terra Firma spokesperson.
Operational managing director Thiele joined Terra Firma in 2013 from German power provider EnBW.
Wilhelm's hire was announced in November 2013. He joined from clean energy company Enel Green Power where he was head of strategy. His hire came as the GP continued its push into the renewable energy infrastructure sector, having completed 18 transactions with an aggregate enterprise value of almost $3.2bn.
