Foresight, Clearwater team up to offer £20m VCT
Foresight Group, an independent alternative asset manager, has teamed up with Clearwater Corporate Finance to launch a £20m venture capital trust (VCT) to invest in UK businesses seeking under £10m of capital.
The Foresight Clearwater VCT aims to capitalise on an expected rise in demand for private funding now that the limit on Entrepreneurs' Relief has been raised from £1m to £5m. The fund will invest up to £1m per deal, utilising Clearwater's deal sourcing expertise and Foresight's investment experience.
Foresight manages more than £200m across the environmental infrastructure, solar energy and private equity space. Clearwater is an independent advisory firm.
