Terra Firma head of IR quits
Terra Firma’s head of investor relations Kamal Tabet has left the firm after only 11 months.
Sources say Tabet left around two months ago; his plans are still unclear. His responsibilities have meanwhile been distributed among the IR team and no particular plans are in place for finding his replacement, a source said.
Tabet joined Terra Firma from Citi in June 2011, a surprising move considering the bank's involvement in the 2010 EMI debacle that saw Terra Firma write off a £1.6bn investment. As head of IR he was put in charge of the eight-strong investor relations team and was part of senior management.
Tabet's departure comes shortly before Terra Firma wrapped up its Fund III by acquiring care provider Four Seasons, which it bought for £825m.
It is unclear whether the firm will start raising a new fund anytime soon or whether it will resort to a deal-by-deal strategy, as widely speculated. Both options are on the table at the moment, a source said.
