Apax reshuffles senior management team

Ralf Gruss (pictured) has been appointed chief operating officer at Apax Partners following his predecessor's move to become full-time head of the firm's portfolio support group.
Steve Hare stepped down from his role as COO to focus on his existing role in the portfolio team, in preparation for an anticipated deal flow for the GP. Apax is currently raising a €9bn fund, having recently held a €4.3bn first close.
Gruss has been with the firm since 2000 and recently worked as a partner in the London-based financial and business services team. He was involved in deals including Kabel Deutschland and IFCO Systems.
Hare joined Apax in 2009 after having held CFO roles at public companies Invensys, Spectris and Marconi.
