Vitruvian's Petty joins JP Morgan
JP Morgan Chase has appointed Cathrin Petty from Vitruvian Partners as co-head of its healthcare investment banking team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In her new role, Petty will work alongside the team's current leader Rakesh Patel and will report to Laurence Hollingworth.
Her departure comes shortly after Vitruvian closed its most recent fund on £1bn, comfortably over its initial £800m target.
Petty was a special partner at UK-based Vitruvian for four years, having joined in February 2010. She previously spent 10 years as a partner at Apax Partners.
Petty holds an MA in natural sciences and management studies from the University of Cambridge.
