USS acquires $135m interest in NB secondaries fund
The Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) has acquired a $135m interest in the Neuberger Berman (NB) Secondary Opportunities Fund II from the Lehman Brothers Estate.
The deal is a significant expansion of its private equity investment programme. Following this acquisition USS becomes the largest investor in the $1.77bn fund raised in July 2008.
The Lehman Brothers Estate retains an approximate $50m interest in the fund.
