EVCA map to highlight PE's international role
The European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EVCA) has launched a new interactive map to highlight private equity's role in the European economy.
EVCA's new map tool features 63 case studies of private equity investments from 20 European countries ranging from small start-ups to large multinational companies across a variety of sectors.
The map allows users to choose between countries and explore corresponding investments. Each case study explains how businesses were transformed following their private equity investments.
The initiative is part of ECVA's drive for more transparency in the industry. EVCA Secretary-General Dörte Höppner said: "The map is part of the EVCA's ongoing effort to improve the accessibility of information about private equity, and explain the industry's role in the economy with the support of research, data and case studies."
Other initiatives aimed at increasing transparency include EVCA's recent videos "How private equity works" and "Case for Europe", a new EVCA website and the organisation's report on the mid-market "Delivering the goods".
