SPAIN – Angels Capital disembarks on the venture scene
Angels Capital has launched as a new player on the Spanish venture scene, with EUR 17m dedicated for investments in seed and start-up projects. According to reports this would be the largest such fund in Spain to date.
Angels Capital, managed by Atitlan Capital, was born as an initiative by Juan Roig, CEO of supermarket chain Mercadona, and the Instituto Valenciano de Finanzas, which provided EUR 15m and EUR 2m to the fund respectively. It will invest between EUR 150,000 and EUR 1m in a maximum of 25 projects.
