Warburg Pincus appoints new head of European business
Warburg Pincus has promoted Daniel Zilberman to head of its European business.
Zilberman has already started in his new role, which is part of a natural succession plan. He takes over from Joseph Schull, who is now a chairman of Warburg.
Zilberman joined Warburg in 2005 and helped found the firm's financial services practice in New York. He has been based in London since 2013, where he helped to set up the European financial services team and was also appointed to Warburg's executive management group in 2014.
Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he worked at Evercore Capital Partners and Lehman Brothers.
The GP is currently investing from its 12th fund, Warburg Pincus Private Equity XII. The global vehicle closed at $12bn in November 2015, after six months of fundraising.
