Riverside adds two new execs
Global private equity firm The Riverside Company has appointed two new executives, Juan Rufilanchas and Jaime Escribano, to its Madrid office.
Rufilanchas [pictured] joins the company as an operating executive for the REF fund family, while Escribano has been appointed as an associate on the Iberian transactions team.
In an international career spanning more than a decade, Rufilanchas has occupied general management, financial management and treasury positions for consumer and technology businesses such as Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine and Ropcon. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago, a masters in Financial Markets from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a degree in Economics from CUNEF.
Escribano, meanwhile, has worked as a senior equity research analyst on Banco Espírito Santo's Iberian small-mid-cap team. Prior to that, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Citigroup private banking. He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from CUNEF and an MBA from INSEAD.
"Spain and Portugal are key areas for Riverside's growth and investment strategy for the next few years," said Marcos Lladó, director for Iberia. "The current economic situation is going to cause investors to enter into local companies to increase their competitiveness."
