N+1 launches corporate finance business in France
Investment bank N+1, listed on the Spanish stock exchange, has expanded its corporate finance activities to France with the opening of a Paris office.
The French office will be led by managing partner and CEO Franck Portais. The team totals 15 professionals and includes two other managing partners, Olivier Guignon and Oriane Durvye, as well as two executive directors.
Portais comes over from Goetzpartners Corporate Finance, having launched the Paris office in 2002. Durvye is also a former Goetzpartners professional, while Guignon joins from Oddo Corporate Finance. N+1 is aiming to recruit a fourth partner before year-end.
N+1 France will focus on corporate finance advice for transactions valued at up to €1bn. Although officially launched in September, the Paris office has been operational since January 2015 and has so far completed three transactions. The team is currently working on around 15 mandates, according to N+1.
The investment bank was created in Spain in 2001 and is listed on the Madrid stock exchange. In addition to its Spanish and French operations, the firm is active in Germany, Italy, Turkey, the UK and Switzerland.
