Advent hires new staff following fund close
Advent International, the global private equitygroup, today announced the appointment of five new investment executives toits London team.
Ron holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management atNorthwestern University in Chicago and the WHU Koblenz, as well as Europeanundergraduate degrees from ESB Reutlingen, Granada and London.
James Brooks joins Advent's Communications and Late Stage Technology teamfrom the TMT sector team at UBS Investment Bank. James has an MPhys in Physics, specialising in atmospheric physics, fromMerton College, Oxford University.
Nick Rose joins the Business & Financial Services teams from Bain &Company's private equity practice where he worked on both pre- andpost-acquisition work, with a particular focus on Business Services. Nick has a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
In addition, two investment executives, Tom Allen and Andy Dawson, joinedAdvent International in late 2004. Tom Allen joins Advent's Healthcare & Life Sciences and Industrials teams,moving from KPMG's private equity team where he advised on public-to-privateand cross-border buyouts. Tom is a graduate of University of Manchester with a BA in Economics(specialising in finance).
Andy Dawson joins Advent's Retail & Media team from OC&C StrategyConsultants, where he focused on Retail, Consumer Goods, Media, Leisure andTechnology sector assignments. Andy has an MA in Engineering, specialising in fluid dynamics from PembrokeCollege, Cambridge University.
