Baird PE rebrands as Baird Capital

The firm previously operated under the umbrella brand Baird Private Equity, which housed the individual investment strategies Baird Capital Partners, Baird Venture Partners, Baird Capital Partners Europe and Baird Capital Partners Asia.

Baird Capital will continue to invest venture capital, growth equity and private equity in targeted sectors in the US, UK and China. The firm will manage four funds: US Private Equity, UK Private Equity, China Growth Equity, and Venture Capital.

Baird deployed more than $140m in 33 new or follow-on investments during 2012 and realised nearly $130m, mainly through three exits.
