3i and Bridgepoint sell Care homes firm for £14.5m

Templecare, which trades under the Dove Care Homes brand, operates 8 nursing homes for the elderly with 350 beds across England and Wales, including homes at Witney in Oxfordshire, Duncote in Northamptonshire and Hessle in Yorkshire. The company owns the freehold for all of the homes. Turnover in the year to 31 March 2005 exceeded £8m, with EBITDA of £1.3m.

3i and Bridgepoint originally backed the MBO of Templecare from Parc Group in 1995 and subsequently introduced John Uttley and Mike Rogers as non-executive chairman and non-executive director respectively to support the management team in delivering the company’s strategic goals.
