Bank of Ireland hires two for acquisition finance team

Charles Bowden and Ross van Poortvliet will work on lead arrange buyout opportunities with the private equity community in the UK mid-market.

Charles joins from Rothschild’s European leveraged finance team and Ross van Poortvliet joined from Sainsbury’s Bank.

Bank of Ireland is making these appointments as it predicts an increase in activity within the UK leverage finance sector in 2006

The UK acquisition finance team focusses on the UK leverage finance mid-market. The team has recently provided debt finance for the Legal & General Ventures backed buyout of Vernacare, ECI acquisition of Taylor Continental and the Gresham backed buyout of Olaer.
