Mid-market placement agent Acanthus Advisers has promoted Wilf Wilkinson (pictured) and Rachel Matharu as the firm celebrates its 15th birthday.
Wilkinson has been promoted to partner, with Matharu promoted to associate.
Wilkinson joined Acanthus in February 2011 from the TMT team of the investment banking division at Jefferies. He holds a BA from the University of Bristol.
Matharu began work at the firm in March 2011. A graduate of the University of Bristol, she joined the company from the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House.
Founded in 1998, Acanthus is exclusively focused on mid-market private equity in Europe. Last year, the firm advised on the Egeria IV fundraise, which hit a first and final close on €600m. The placement agent is currently advising private equity clients in France, Germany, Spain, the Nordic region and the UK.
