Carlyle hires DIC's Kump as MD for Europe LBO team
The Carlyle Group has recruited Eric Kump as managing director of its leveraged buyout team in Europe.
Kump joins from Dubai International Capital (DIC) where he was head of the European private equity team. Prior to joining DIC, he worked on European LBOs as managing director of Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity.
Carlyle's European operations, Carlyle Europe Partners, comprises a 40-strong team with offices in Barcelona, London, Luxembourg, Milan, Munich and Paris. Kump will be based in London.
