Carlyle Group appoints Friedman as chief financial officer
Carlyle Group has appointed Adena T. Friedman as chief financial officer and member of its operational committee.
Friedman joins Carlyle from NASDAQ OMX Group where she has worked since 1993 and held several senior roles including chief financial officer and executive vice president for corporate strategy.
Carlyle said Friedman will support the private equity group's robust and innovative finance strategy and meet growing demands of the investors. She brings in experience in strategic planning and cross-border M&A.
Friedman will replace Peter Nachtwey, who left the investment group last year, to join global asset management firm Legg Mason, and starts in her new role on 28 March.
