POLAND – Krokus acquires Transsystem

Krokus Private Equity has acquired a 70% stake in Polish technological transportation system manufacturer Transsystem. Founded in 1991, the company is based near Rzeszow and posted revenues last year of EUR 40m. As a result of the deal, Krokus will assume three of five seats on Transsystem’s board.

The deal was done through Krokus’s new Nova Polonia Natexis II fund, which recently exceeded its target to close on EUR 100m. Though the value of this latest deal is undisclosed, it is known that Krokus’ investment into this deal as well as the fund’s first deal, Izoterm, amount to a total of EUR 13m. The fund normally invests between EUR3-15m per transaction.
