
EVCA appoints new head of communications
The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) has appointed Emma Thorpe as its head of communications.
In her new position she will be based in London and Brussels, handling public relations and membership communications. She replaces Ross Butler who recently left to join LPEQ.
Thorpe has been working for EVCA since 2011 and was previously responsible for strategic communications and issues management.
Before joining EVCA, she was director of European Communications for The Carlyle Group. She also has experience from working in financial services, technology and corporate communications at agencies Penrose Financial, Weber Shandwick, Cognito and Media Strategy.
