ITALY - Apax and Cinven interested in Kedrion

Kedrion specialises in plasma derivatives. The company has shown a positive growth trend in recent years, reporting EUR 220.7m turnover in 2008, 21.8% up from the EUR 181.2m reported in 2007. EBITDA has also increased to EUR 63m from 51.2m. The company has been expanding and is planning to increase its exports from 20-35%.

Investitori invested in Kedrion two years when the company had been valued at EUR 300m. The company had intended on a listing shortly after the investment and the process was underway but was stopped close to its conclusion.
