Benoît Verbrugghe joins AXA PE's executive board
AXA Private Equity has appointed head of US operations Benoît Verbrugghe to its executive board.
Verbrugghe will remain head of the firm's New York office, where he has led the development of the secondaries business across North America since his appointment in July 2010.
AXA PE has been making a push in the secondaries space recently: it raised a $7.1bn secondaries fund-of-funds in June this year. Verbrugghe was also active in the acquisition of a $1.7bn portfolio from Citigroup in June 2011 as well as the takeover of a $1.9bn portfolio of private equity funds from Bank of America in April 2010.
Verbrugghe joined AXA PE in 1999.
