GERMANY - Granville Baird backs MBO of Meier Vakuumtechnik
Granville Baird has acquired majority stake in Meier Vakuumtechnik GmbH, a provider of equipment for photovoltaic solar cells, as part of a management buy-out.
The company was founded in 1999 as part of the Meier Group. Now Meier Vakuumtechnik offers a comprehensive range of solutions for encapsulating solar panels within fully automated production lines. With plant facilities in Bocholt and Rossla the cmpany has around 140 employees and will achieve a turnover of about EUR 50m in 2008.
