17Capital nears final close on latest fund
Preferred equity provider 17Capital is understood to have raised around 80% of its second vehicle.
This fund will see London-based 17Capital significantly up its ante, 18 months after closing its maiden fund on €88m: the GP is believed to be targeting a €200m final close and to have received strong support from its existing investors.
17Capital's first fund was initially anchored by Idinvest Partners and Alpha Associates. It also attracted commitments from European and North American institutional investors, including Allianz Group, the Caisse des Depots et Consignations, CNP and BNP Paribas Private Equity.
Established four years ago, 17Capital is a provider of preferred equity financing for owners, managers and buyers of private equity portfolios. Its second vehicle will keep to the firm's existing strategy.
