Booth leaves USS
Fraser Booth has left University Superannuation Scheme (USS) after eight years.
USS confirmed Booth's departure but declined to discuss further details.
Booth joined USS in July 2007 as co-head of private equity and credit following a three-year spell at Railpen Investments, where he was an investment analyst.
USS is the corporate trustee of one of the largest private sector pension funds in the UK, with assets of £42bn as of 31 March 2014. It was established in 1974 to administer the principal pension scheme for academic and comparable staff in UK universities and other higher education and research institutions.
The investor currently commits 5.25-8.25% of its assets under management to the private equity and debt markets, representing its largest allocation (it invests 5.25% in listed equities, 3.25-4.75% in infrastructure and 5% in property).
