Alpha looking to exit Metallum and Rhiag
Alpha Associates is set to sell two of its largest portfolio companies, Metallum and Rhiag, according to media reports.
Swiss metal recycling business Metallum and Italian car parts distributor Rhiag could fetch up to €800m each. Polish copper producer KGHM Polska Miedz is among the trade buyers reportedly bidding for Metallum.
Alpha Associates is rumoured to be looking to raise a $1bn buyout fund this year, which would explain the timing of those divestments.
