Jonathan Russell departs from 3i
3i’s managing partner of buyouts will leave the company after 24 years, according to reports.
Jonathan Russell, 51, who first headed up the buyouts team in 1999, is a former chairman of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA).
His exit forms part of a reshuffling of the business, which involves the merger of 3i's growth capital and buyout arms in order to give its activities a more regional focus.
3i Chief Executive Michael Queen said: "This is a logical step and one which we think will make us even more effective in the market."
Russell holds an MBA from the London Business School and a BSc in Ophthalmic Optics.
