Accel hires Atlas's Fred Destin as partner
Accel Partners has hired influential venture capitalist Fred Destin as a new partner in its London office.
Rumours of Destin's departure from Atlas Venture emerged at the beginning of April, with the venture capitalist leaving Boston for Europe to be closer to his family.
Destin has spent the past 10 years at Atlas, including the last four in the VC firm's Boston office. He specialises in early-stage investments and, prior to joining Atlas, backed businesses such as France's PriceMinister. While at Atlas, Destin worked on investments including Zoopla and Dailymotion.
Destin is also a co-founding investor in Seedcamp and regularly shares his views on the venture industry on both Twitter and his personal blog.
