
UK - Cohen and Jefferies invest in International Asset Management
Apax Partners co-founder Sir Ronald Cohen and Jeffries Group have backed the management in their buyout of hedge funds manager International Asset Management (IAM) from Dutch bank Fortis Investment.
IAM, established in 1989, was acquired in February 2006 by ABN AMRO Asset Management and was later merged with Fortis following the buyout of ABN AMRO by a consortium that also included Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander. the company, based in London and New York, has USD 4.3bn in assets under management.
